Kent Police have appointed a new Assistant Chief Constable.

Chief Supt Jo Shiner, 42, has 21 years of policing service and has led teams in territorial policing, CID, and human resources.

Kent Police Chief Constable Alan Pughsley said: “I am delighted to have appointed Chief Superintendent Shiner to this role. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge gained during her time with Norfolk Constabulary.

“Chief Supt Shiner’s experience will be invaluable, and I know that all the officers and staff of the force will welcome this appointment and offer their support to her.”
