Knife-wielding burglars put victim in hospital in Gravesend

The incident happened in Poplar Avenue on Saturday

Police are searching for three suspected burglars after two men were taken to hospital on Saturday.

Officers were called to Poplar Avenue at 4.25am on Saturday, July 23, after three men reportedly entered a property along the road.

Upon arrival, paramedics and officers found a man with a suspected knife-wound to his back.

Another man was treated for an injury to his head.

None of the injuries were life-threatening.

Police are now looking for three suspects.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “The suspects are described as a white man in his 20s and two black men of a similar age.

“They are reported to have left the scene and possibly driven away in a small black car, possibly a Peugeot or Vauxhall Astra, parked nearby in Ash Road.

“It is reported that a further suspect, described as a black woman, may have been driving the car.

Officers at the scene are continuing to make a number of enquiries, including house to house and gathering forensic evidence.
