Labour leader Ed miliband is expected in Gravesend on Monday.
The member for North Doncaster, who claimed the leadership of the party in a narrowly fought contest last year, is expected to speak to party members and families affected by government cuts.
Elder brother David Miliband was expected to give a speech in Northfleet in September last year but was forced to cancel at the last minute, being replaced by former Olympics secretary Tessa Jowell.
