Two local carers have been recognised for exceptional work and support they provide to elderly and vulnerable people across the district.

In the Bluebird Care Gravesham and Dartford annual awards, Michelle Brady was named Care Assistant of the Year after gaining the most nominations from customers across the region, while Audrey Smyth was named Live-In Care Assistant of the Year, having received nominations from Bluebird Care’s teams across Kent.
Denise Dadswell, care manager at Bluebird Care, said: “These awards are part of our commitment to recognise excellence among our staff.
“It’s no surprise that Michelle received the largest portion of votes - she is an outstanding member of staff and we are proud to have her as part of our team.”
Liz Wilson, live-in care manager, described Audrey as “a pleasure to work with”. Her and Michelle each received chocolates, flowers and a spa day.
