London man appears in court following Gravesend nightclub incident on Saturday night

A man charged with attempted murder following an incident at a Gravesend nightclub which injured 13 people has appeared in court.

Kent Police were called on Saturday night after a Suzuki Vitara hitBlake’s nightclub in Queen Street.

Mohammed Abdul, 21, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link on Monday, March 19.

He was remanded and is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on April 16.

Senior investigating officer, Det Ch Insp David Chewter, from the Kent and Essex serious crime directorate said: “We believe there may be more casualties out there who are yet to come forward and talk to us – we would like to hear from them as we continue to build a clear picture of what happened that night.”
