Lorry crash stops M25 traffic near Dartford Crossing sparking two hour delays

One of the lorries has been recovered

Traffic was brought to a stop near the Dartford Crossing on Wednesday morning after a lorry crash.

The clockwise A282 was stopped between junctions 1a and 1b just after the QEII Bridge following the collision.

The crash was first reported at around 7.20am, causing delays of up to an for rush hour traffic, with queues heading back to junction 29 for Basildon.

A spokesperson from Kent Police said: “We were called at 7.23am following a collision involving three lorries on the A282 Kent bound, near the Dartford crossing.

“No injuries have been reported and vehicle recovery is underway. Lane closures are in place and motorists should expect delays.”

By 9.30am, all of the lorries had been recovered and traffic had begun to clear from the scene.
