Lullingstone Castle will host an Easter Egg Hunt for aspiring plant hunters through its World Garden feature later this month.

Those who successfully complete the Easter Egg Hunt at the Lullingstone Park castle near Eynsford will be rewarded with an egg.

Tom Hart-Dyke, the site’s head gardener, who was kidnapped searching for a rare orchid in Colombia in 2000, said: “I really want to inspire kids to follow their dreams – it’s what I’ve done.

“My vision of this World Garden, after all, is what kept me going during my kidnap ordeal in Colombia.”

The hunt will take place from April 19 to 21 from 12pm to 5pm. Admission from 11pm. Tickets between £4 and £7. Family ticket is £18.
