Man arrested in connection with Gravesend knife-point robbery

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Gravesend shop assistant at knife-point.

For Girlys in Stone Street was targeted on Tuesday afternoon (April 30) at around 3pm.

An armed robber threatened the shop assistant with a knife before making off with a quantity of cash.

After leaving the shop, the offender was chased by a member of the public and the bag was dropped.

The Chatham man was arrested today in an alleyway in Elm Avenue, Chatham, and police also want to question him about three more armed robberies in Chatham and Rochester.
