Gravesend man charged with burglary

Officers have charged a man following a burglary in Gravesend.

On Monday August 6 officers were called to a property in First Avenue following reports that the homeowners had returned to find the house had been broken into and several items including computers, jewellery and clothing had been taken.

On Thursday August 9, officers arrested a man in Wallis Park, Gravesend.

Wayne Austin, 36 from Princes Road was charged with burglary.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on September 7.
