A man has been left in a life threatening condition after falling from a bridge over the A2 near Dartford today.

Police were called to the scene on the London-bound carriageway at around 9am after receiving reports of a man falling on to the road.

Three ambulance crews were aided by the air ambulance, who lifted the man to King’s College Hospital, in Camberwell, after he was treated for life-threatening injuries at the scene.

Both the southbound and northbound carriageways were closed while the man was treated, and were re-opened by noon.
