MACHETE-wielding thugs attacked a 36-year-old man and stole his necklace.

The victim was walking with a woman when they were stopped by three men on Brandon Street, Gravesend, at midnight on July 11.

One of the men tried to snatch the woman's necklace, and when the victim tried to stop them, he was allegedly attacked with the weapon.

He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital where he needed nine stitches.

All three men had dark skin, aged about 25-years-old, and were between 5ft 8in and 5ft 11in. One was wearing brand new white trainers and three quarter length blue trousers. His hair was black, shaved short around the sides and spiky on the top and down the back.
