Andrew Fox, a master of Aikido and Karate, based in Borough Green, Tonbridge and Malling, is offering classes to fight against knife crime.

Having been a Martial Arts teacher for 28 years, Mr Fox wants to use his skill to raise awareness of the growing issue of knife crime, and teach anti-knife defence techniques.

He said: “ in October I decided to start raising funds and set up a just giving page.

My aim is to teach a course of 20 lessons at £20 an hour.

People are dying needlessly because they freeze in fear when threatened with a knife, I want to take that fear away and increase chances of survival.”

Mr Fox, who teaches both children and adults every Wednesday evening, added: “It is as important as learning CPR.”

Mr Fox has set up a Just Giving page, which you can visit or donate to at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/andrew-fox-1.
