Events will take place on May 2.

A family May Day celebration will be held in Central Park, Dartford.

Organised by Dartford Arts Network and supported by Dartford Borough Council, it will be taking place on May 2 from 1pm to 6pm.

It will feature Morris dancers, live music and Maypole dancing.

There will also be arts and crafts, refreshments and face-painting taking place.

Gavan Kearney, chair of Dartford Arts Network, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming local residents as well as visitors from further afield to help us celebrate May Day in Dartford’s Central Park.

“This is the first of a number of projects we’re organising and getting involved with around the town.

“We’d also like to thank Dartford Borough Council for helping to make our plan for this event a reality in terms of encouragement, positivity, support and funding.”
