Car left road and ended up 15m into a ditch

A man believed to be in his sixties was rescued by firefighters using winches and hydraulic cutting gear after his vehicle left the carriageway on London Road, Swanscombe, and ended up 15m into a ditch just before 11pm last night (February 5).

Crews using special equipment get to the vehicle and gave first aid to the casualty before creating space for paramedics to gain access.

The casualty was then transferred to a waiting ambulance for further treatment. Two other casualties were not trapped.
