Motorists on M25 face closures at Dartford Crossing and QEII Bridge next week
PUBLISHED: 13:25 28 July 2017
Maintenance work will close both tunnels on varying days
Motorists using the Dartford Crossing overnight next week are being warned of closures for maintenance work.
From 9pm on Monday night, no vehicles will be able to use the west tunnel when travelling into Essex until the tunnel reopens at 5.30am.
The same closure will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday night.
During the closures, maintenance work will also close the northbound M25 entry slip at junction 1a for Swanscombe.
The closure will last for the same time as the tunnel is shut, with a clearly signed diversion taking traffic back to junction 1b via the A282 southbound, where vehicles can join the M25.
On Sunday night, oversized vehicles will have to use a fully signed diversion as the east tunnel will be closed from 9pm to 5.30am.
Throughout next week, motorists crossing into Kent from Essex will also face disruption as three lanes shut on the QEII Bridge from Monday for four nights and then again on Sunday.
All lane closures will last from 10pm to 5.30am.
