Multi-vehicle crash stops M25 traffic near Dartford Crossing

The crash happened at around 2.25pm

Motorists coming off of the QEII Bridge are facing delays this afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash.

Traffic is being held between junctions 1a and 1b on the clockwise carriageway, driving away from the crossing, following the collision.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We were called to the scene at 2.26pm.

“Officers are in attendance with South East Coast Ambulance Service and two people have been taken to a local hospital.”

Traffic was being diverted via the 1B slip road.

Highways England is reporting delays of up to 90 minutes in the area, and at 3.55pm three of the four lanes were reopened.

Traffic conditions are expected to return to normal by 6pm.
