A MOTHER arrested after the body of her son was discovered at their family home has appeared in court charged with murder. Jennifer Taylor, 44, stood in the dock Dartford Magistrates Court on Tuesday (Dec 9) charged with the murder of her 11-year-old son

A MOTHER arrested after the body of her son was discovered at their family home has appeared in court charged with murder.

Jennifer Taylor, 44, stood in the dock Dartford Magistrates Court on Tuesday (Dec 9) charged with the murder of her 11-year-old son James.

The Wilmington Grammar School for Boys pupil's body was found at their home in Knights Croft, New Ash Green last Tuesday. (2).

She was taken to hospital after the discovery and questioned by police on Monday before being charged.

An initial post mortem has been carried out and further examinations are continuing until the cause of death can be established.

An inquest into his death is yet to be opened.

Ms Taylor did not enter a plea and has been remanded in custody.

She is scheduled to appear in Maidstone Crown Court on December 22.
