The mother of a Gravesend girl suffering from a rare form of cancer is going to great heights to raise funds for lifesaving treatment in America.

The plight of seven-year-old Stacey Mowle, who has neuroblastoma, has touched the hearts of people in Gravesend and further afield and her mum Samantha will abseil 200ft down a building in Maidstone on November 2.

Stacey will be eight on November 23 and Samantha said the motivation for the daring feat was to make sure Stacey sees another Christmas.

She added: “We are now desperately trying to raise £500,000, the huge sums needed to afford Stacey the option of further treatment abroad.

“We don’t have much time but with your help we can do it.”
