The adidas "concept store" in Bluewater shopping centre

Adidas has opened a new interactive store in Bluewater, inspired by the sights and sounds of a sports stadium.

The store is only the second of its kind in the world after the first was premiered in Beijing earlier this year.

With less than two months to go until the start of the football World Cup, shoppers will enter the store through a stadium tunnel.

Customers will be able to find the product they want by using an interactive table.

The store will also feature the adidas Shoebase placed at the heart of the store which features two touchscreens which connect directly to adidas’ shop.

To celebrate the opening of the concept store there will be actvities taking place in and around the store in the lead up to Easter.

A limited number of shoppers will be given the chance to attend a meet and greet with some of the stars of West Ham Football Club. Kiss FM will be hosting a one off show from inside the store.

Rupert Campbell, director of adidas UK Own Retail, said: “We’re committed to constant innovation within our retail space, looking for ways to offer our customers a unique shopping experience.”
