A New Ash Green mum is holding a charity fundraiser to raise awareness for a rare disease afflicting her six-year-old son, meaning he has the mental capacity of a 15-month-old toddler.
Charlie Edser suffers from Dravet Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy which leads to seizures up to two hours long.
His mum Sarah, 31, is hosting the event at New Ash Green Sports Pavilion in Punch Croft on Saturday (July 27) from noon, featuring stalls, rides, Zumba and live entertainment.
She said: “It’s a very rare and severe syndrome. It’s awful and he often ends up in intensive care.
“If it’s successful we’ll look to hold some more events to raise awareness and funds for Dravet Syndrome UK.”
