Contact the Elderly, a charity dedicated to tackling loneliness among older people, is inviting local residents to join its new group in Gravesham and enjoy a few hours of tea, chat and good company.

Each older person is collected from their home by a volunteer driver and taken to a host’s home for the afternoon.

The group will be run by local resident Francesca Elu, who said: “I am looking forward to welcoming even more volunteer hosts, drivers and older guests to this group - the first of its kind in North West Kent”.

Gravesham residents, aged 75 and over, who live alone, without the support of family and friends, and who are interested in joining the Gravesham Contact the Elderly group can contact Katy Szita on 020 8530 0494 or email
