A Northfleet business is celebrating after one of their employees scooped the apprentice of the year award at the Kent Excellence in Business Awards.

Allpark is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of cycle parking and street furniture and traffic Calming Measures.

And Adam Calver, who only joined the company last year, admits it was great to be recognised for his work at a gala dinner presentation.

“I was really pleased just to be shortlisted, so to actually win was amazing.” said Adam.

“I’ve had a brilliant year with Allpark and with the support of my managers I’ve progressed quickly and I now feel like an important member of a close team.

Speaking after the event, Allpark managing director Andrew Thomson said: “We’re extremely proud of the progress Adam has made since joining the Allpark team in March last year.”

It is not the first time that Allpark has been rewarded for their working having scooped Business of the Year award at the Gravesham Business Awards in 2011.
