Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy tried out Gravesend’s Cyclopark on Wednesday.
The 11-time world champion cyclist was visiting to test his new brand of HOY bikes on the 2.9km circuit.
Sir Chris also gave many cycling enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride alongside him.
He said: “Cyclopark is a great facility and the closed road circuit was perfect for our testing with plenty of twists and turns to get a feel of the bikes handling, short climbs and long straights to really push it.”
Laurence Tricker, Cyclopark’s CEO, said: “It is an honour and a delight to welcome Sir Chris to Cyclopark. He is such a great ambassador for the sport and has enthused a whole new generation of cyclists to take up cycling.”
