The first meeting takes place next week

Cyclists around Gravesham are being invited to get on their bikes and attend the borough’s first ever cycling forum next week.

Meeting at the Cyclopark on Monday, September 11, organisers hope the group will be able to work together to improve transport links around the borough.

Organiser James Willis, whose father Peter is a member of the group, said: “Anyone who is interested or wants to cycle for commuting or pleasure, please join us.

“The cycle campaign forum is for the people of Gravesham, things will only improve if we stand together.

“A cycle forum is something we have done successfully elsewhere and it’s great to get people working together and put focus on to health and pollution busting benefits of cycling in north Kent.

“Gravesham is very lucky to have a great Cyclopark and an excellent hub nearby for safe parking near the railway station.

“However we need to get the authorities to work collectively to provide better and safer access for cycling.”

Members will meet at the Cyclopark in Watling Street at 7.30pm.
