Over 3,000 scouts and guides to attend Kent International Jamboree

Over 3,000 scouts and girl guides from across the globe will descend on Kent Show Ground in July for a week-long jamboree with over 100 activities including climbing and crafts.

Half the attendees at the Maidstone site will be from Kent, with the rest hailing from over 30 different countries.

Jamboree director Andy Trill said: “We’re really excited to be welcoming thousands of scouts and guides next summer.”

This is the fifth of the Kent International Jamborees, which happen every four years and Mr Trill said he hoped it would be the best to date.
