A FAMILY is appealing for the return of 'precious' video footage of their newborn baby that was taken when their home was burgled.

Thieves broke into the family's home in Otford earlier this month and now the family are appealing for the return of the video.

Although three men have been arrested - with one charged and two released on bail - the video footage has not been found.

Detective Constable Denis Fogel said: "The incident has been very distressing for the family, but it is the loss of the very cherished video footage that matters most to them."

During the burglary, which happened between 1am and 10am on Wednesday, July 15, a window was forced open and personal belongings were taken including car keys which were used to drive a Citroen car away from the address.

The family car and some of the property were recovered when the three men were arrested.

Police say it is possible the tape may have been discarded and ask anyone who sees it to contact police on 01732 379217.
