Pensioners threatened with screwdrivers and beaten with walking stick during Gravesend burglary

Elderly victims of a violent burglary in Gravesend have escaped without serious injury after being assaulted at their home in Gravesend.

Four young men smashed their way into a property in Pelham Road South on Friday, September 9 at around 8.15pm.

Screwdrivers were then held against two of the victims, while a third was pulled from her bed and beaten with own walking stick.

All three of the victims are aged in their 70s and 80s.

The 30 minute ordeal ended after the suspects stole cash, jewellery and personal documents.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
