Play equipment at the Rosherville Recreation Ground has been updated.

The revamp of the ground, at Burnaby Road and Beresford Road, Gravesend, has seen the instalment of a new inclusive roundabout, a swing set, a see-saw and new self-closing gates.

Interconnecting paths have also been added to improve access between equipment.

The update was completed recently, and cost the council just under £18,000.

Cllr Jordan Meade, said: “The original site was tired and dated, and some of the equipment was coming to the end of its serviceable life, so this was a great time to give it a new lease of life.

“The spring will be on its way soon so it’s a good time for people to come down and enjoy the new equipment.”

Gravesham Borough Council has a programme of revamps planned, with Cascades play area lined up for the next update.

The project is expected to be completed before the summer holidays.
