Police appeal for information after Gravesend man killed in Essex car crash

A Gravesend man was killed in a car crash in Essex on Sunday, police have revealed.

Police received reports of a collision at 12.15am at the junction of the A1245 and A130 in South Benfleet.

Gravesend resident Florin Saghin, 36, died at the scene from his injuries.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at around 1.30am on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting incident 19 of 10/12 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
