A FORMER North Kent police officer has been arrested on suspicion of fraud.

The 24-year-old, who worked at police headquarters in Thames Way, Northfleet, was bailed until June 10 after his former colleagues arrested him at an address in Chatham on April 29.

Kent Police confirmed he was first arrested on April 11 following an incident the previous day and released pending further inquiries. He resigned following his first arrest.

A second man from Medway, also 24, was arrested on April 14 in connection with the incident and bailed until May 20.
