Signage suggests it could move into the current KFC site

American fast-food franchise Taco Bell looks set to take over a Dartford street corner.

Signage has been approved for the chain to advertise outside 53 High Street in the town centre.

The address is currently owned by fellow fast-food franchise KFC.

A spokesperson from the world-renowned chicken chain said it expected to move to the Priory Shopping Centre in the coming months.

As the name suggests, Taco Bell specialises in Tex-Mex cuisine such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos.

To get a taste of the fast-food, residents currently have to brave the Dartford Crossing, travelling nearly seven miles to Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock.

It is not known when KFC plans to move, or when Taco Bell will open its doors, but have approached both chains for comment.

The town centre is already served by a McDonalds, Wimpy and Subway as well as kebab and chip shops.
