Two teachers at Cecil Road School in Northfleet have been rewarded by a successful local judo instructor.

The school currently hosts Judo Jim’s Judo Academy satellite club, one of several of the academies run by ‘Judo’ Jim Winter Nolan.

Mr Winter Nolan presented Mr Neville and Mrs Gill from the school with awards for helping to create and support the school’s club.

Mr Winter-Nolan said: “The awards were and are very much deserved. The work Mr Neville and Mrs Gill have contributed in making judo a success at the school goes largely unseen.

“Nevertheless their enthusiasm in supporting the children is a credit to both of them, which is one the reasons the judo academy at Cecil Road is such a success.”
