More than 700 pupils from 19 schools have been invited to the spectacle next Friday including arts and crafts displays, a marching band, dancing and a huge model of the legendary dragon slayer made by the children.

The event is organised by the Kent Equality Cohesion Council (KECC) supported by the borough and county councils.

The parade will start at 10.15am outside the Towncentric offices, in St George's Square, Gravesend, progress up the High Street, into King Street, through the town and finishing outside the Civic Centre.
