Queen Elizabeth II Bridge to star in Jason Statham thriller

PUBLISHED: 11:24 18 September 2012

The Queen Elizabeth II Bridge in Dartford will be featured in a new film, Hummingbird, directed by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Steven Knight.

Starring Jason Statham, the film sees him playing an ex-special forces soldier looking to leave London’s criminal underworld.

Building materials company Lafarge offered their thirty metre silos which are adjacent to the bridge to the film company and have donated the £1,000 fee they received to local charity EllenorLions Hospice.

Operations Manager, John Cox, said: “As a cement-making business we don’t usually get the opportunity to be involved in with feature films and it’s fantastic we’ve been able to raise some funds for the hospice.”
