Five arrests were made and a cannabis factory found during a two-day police operation to tackle anti-social behaviour.

Carried out on the last two Wednesdays of the month officers executed seven search warrants on those allegedly making the lives of neighbours a misery in Northfleet.

Arrests were made for a number of offences including possession of controlled drugs, cultivation of controlled drugs and intent to supply controlled drugs.

Grant Snell, 25, was later charged with cultivation of cannabis and Richard West, 42, charged with possession of cannabis. Both live in Beresford Road, Northfleet,

One caution was given for possession of cannabis and another person was bailed after being arrested for possession with intent to supply cannabis. Another man was arrested at one of the addresses for an offence unrelated to the operation.

The operation was led by PC Justin Eldridge and PC Gary Morris.

PC Eldridge said: “We’ve not only disrupted these individuals, but others in the chain involved with drug-taking.

“We hope to see some good outcomes at court in the future.”
