Nothing was reported missing

Police are searching for a man amid fears of an attempted burglary in Dartford last month.

On June 17, the owner of a home in Princes View returned to his property to find a man stood inside his porch door at 2.05am.

The man tried to leave on a bicycle, before the victim and a neighbour tried to get hold of him.

He then managed to reach the bike and ride away.

Nothing was reported missing after the incident, but police are still keen for any witnesses to come forward.

A Kent police spokesperson said: “The suspect is described as white, around 5 ft 10 in tall, aged in his late 30s or early 40s, with a gaunt complexion, blonde hair in a ponytail and a beard.

“He was wearing a camouflage hooded top, dark trousers and was riding a black mountain bike.

“Anyone who recognises the man in the image, or has any information about the incident, is asked to contact Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting XY/29017/17.

“Alternatively, contact Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
