The branch will open next month

Valley Drive Post Office in Gravesend is set for a refurbishment next month, reopening with new services and longer hours.

The post office will closed on February 24 for the works.

Reopening on February 26, it will provide a car tax renewal service, as well running an extra five hours a week, including an earlier start and being open on Saturday afternoons.

Whilst closed, alternative branches will open at Riverview Park and at the St Georges Centre.

Keith Long, area manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“This is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.

“The investment marks a commitment to no the more branch closures programme.”
