KENTISH Times/Reporter series staff picked up a host of accolades at the Archant London awards ceremony at the weekend. The prestigious event held by the publishing group – whose newspapers cover London and north Kent – took place onboard the glitzy Dixi

KENTISH Times/Reporter series staff picked up a host of accolades at the Archant London awards ceremony at the weekend.

The prestigious event held by the publishing group - whose newspapers cover London and north Kent - took place onboard the glitzy Dixie Queen boat on the River Thames.

Group Editor Melody Foreman was named Employee of the Year for editing The Gravesend Reporter, Dartford and Swanley Times, Bexley Times and Bromley Times.

The judges said: "This person is described as truly dedicated, hard working and passionate."

Sports editor Stuart Henderson won Editorial Person of the Year.

The Gravesend Reporter received a certificate of merit for Product or Service of the Year, Tracy Thomas a merit for Customer Service Person of the Year and Raj Sangha the same honour for Commercial Person of the Year.

Innovation of New Launch of the Year highly commended went to The Woodville Halls programme with the winner named as the 5 Routes to Market initiative from the series. Team of the Year in London went to the Project Kent team at Kentish Times series, which includes management, editorial and advertising teams.
