A homeless and ‘violent’ robber who stole a vulnerable woman’s handbag outside a Dartford café has been jailed.

On Monday, Ricky Whiskin, 35, was jailed for four years after admitting one count of robbery.

Whiskin targeted his 65-year-old victim as she left the Fleetdale Café in Fleetdale Parade on the morning of Friday, September 9.

She was followed to nearby Dale Walk, where Whiskin snatched her handbag and ran off to Beesdale Walk.

CCTV footage identified the robber, and he was arrested a week later.

Det const Steve Brown said: “This was a particularly violent attack on a vulnerable woman that has left her very shaken up.

“Whiskin showed no concern for his victim as he made off with her property and he should consider the impact his actions have had while he is in prison.

“I would like to commend the victim for her bravery throughout the course of this investigation.
