Meopham’s Roundwood Orchard Pig Company, which featured in The Reporter last week, has won a Taste of Kent award for catering.

Owner Beverley Brown said: “It shows us that people can taste the difference with our hams and can appreciate the hard work that goes into rearing our animals and producing our meat using traditional methods and high welfare standards.”

Dozens of the county’s leading food and drink producers gathered at the Mercure Great Danes Hotel in Hollingbourne last Friday, with just 10 companies clinching a prestigious title.
