Gravesend’s Cyclopark, Europe’s largest cycle centre, will now have runners joining riders on two wheels on its 2.9km road circuit.

The park in Wrotham Road launched Cyclorun on Thursday and running groups will now meet there every Sunday for 5km runs.

Runners will get a safe, traffic-free environment as part of the Run Kent Project, an official Run England-England Athletics recreational running programme.

Laurence Tricker, the park’s CEO, said: “Cyclorun is a great offering that anyone can do, whatever your ability the group helps get people involved, offering the encouragement and resources to give it a try.”

The running group will meet on Sundays at 8am from January 12 and there will be regular running events, starting with the Christmas Cracker 1km and 5km runs on December 22.
