School concert in Dartford aims to raise the roof for Cancer Research

An A level student is hoping that music lovers will dig deep and help raise funds for cancer research at a concert at his school in Dartford.
Stephen Eate who is studying music, art and doing an extended project into how music has changed society has organised the event at Wilmington Academy in Common Lane, Dartford.
The concert showcases the talents of pupils from year seven right up to the sixth form and starts at 7pm on Monday (December 5).
Stephen said: “I’m hosting the music charity event in aid of Cancer Research. We have all worked so hard in making as much money as possible to help out Cancer Research, and I think it can be something that Dartford can be really proud of.”
The event features current hits along with the music of singer-songwriter Luther Vandross.
Tickets cost £3 and are available from the school office during school hours.
