Second car-ramming incident leaves shutter severely damaged

Police are investigating a second incident in which a vehicle is reported to have rammed a building in Gravesend, severely damaging a shutter.

They were called at 12.57am on Tuesday, July 4 after an intruder alarm was activated at a commercial premises on the Imperial Business Estate in West Mill.

Officers attended and found that the security shutter had been severely damaged by a car that had been left at the scene.

The till, which was empty, had been opened, although nothing has been reported stolen.

Police are not ruling out the possibility that the incident may be linked to a similar report at a service station on Rochester Road, Gravesend, on the evening of Sunday, July 3.
