GRAVESEND has been graced with a visit from a shadow minister in the run-up to the election.

Labour’s shadow minister for Europe, Pat McFadden, visited the town to support election candidate Tan Dhesi, and spent several hours doorknocking and talking to people in the town.

Mr Dhesi said: “Top of people’s concerns that were raised on the doorstep was the dire state of the NHS. They were also concerned about the rising cost of living and the fact that wages were not keeping pace with inflation.”
