HARRY Potter star Sir Michael Gambon is to be a father again at the age of 68, it is claimed.
The actor, who lives in Meopham and plays Professor Dumbledore in the hit films, is thought to be having a second child with his mistress.
He is already father to a 17-month-old son Michael with set designer Philippa Hart, and also 44-year-old son Fergus with his wife Lady Anne, who lives on the £4 million family country estate in Meopham.
Gambon still lives with his wife, but visits 43-year-old Hart at her home in West London.
According to a national newspaper, a family friend said: "Michael and Philippa are delighted that she's pregnant again.
"Philippa wanted a brother or sister for little Michael because when he gets into his teens it's possible Sir Michael might not be around.
"Philippa felt it was important her son had a
sibling. She's also in her 40s, so this could be the last chance for more kids."
The actor met Ms Hart eight years ago after working together on the set of the 2000 film Longitude, in which Gambon starred as 18th Century watchmaker John Harrison.
Despite his relationship with Ms Hart going public many years ago, it appears Gambon is still living as husband and wife with Lady Anne, who he married in 1962. The actor was knighted in 1998 for his services to theatre.
In June last year he attended a Spitfire and Hurricane fly-past in Camer Road, Meopham, in honour of the 65th anniversary of a fighter pilot from New Zealand who crashed his plane near the site in 1942. His agent has refused to comment on the pregnancy claim.
