SPICE girl Geri Halliwell signed copies of her first children's book for fans on Bank Holiday Monday.
The 35-year-old who is most famous as Ginger Spice in the chart topping girl group the Spice Girls appeared at Waterstone's, Bluewater.
She signed copies of Ugenia Lavender for fans as she seeks to launch a writing career, having recently completed an 11-date reunion tour with her famous bandmates in January this year.
Halliwell said: "One of the things I liked about writing the books was that it was almost like I got to exercise that brat-child that I am not allowed to be in real life.
"All the things I can't do in real life - like sulking or stamping my feet or being rude to someone - Ugenia can do in the book."
Ugenia Lavender is about a sassy, super intelligent nine-year-old girl who leaps into adventures.
Each book in the series contains three stories plus Ugenia's Big News, Top Tips and extra Brain Squeezer puzzle pages.
The first book features: How will Ugenia Lavender fit in as the new girl at school? Does she ever discover the meaning of the 'lovely illness'? And can she rescue celebrity chef, Uncle Harry, from a big mix-up?
Lucy Hudson, events coordinator, said: "I'm so excited that Geri Halliwell chose to come here to sign her first ever children's book.
"It's a real honour to be welcoming such a huge celebrity to the store for this extremely rare book signing appearance.
Halliwell was born to a Swedish father and a Spanish mother and grew up in Watford, Hertfordshire.
The book is published in hardback by Macmillan Children's Books, priced £6.99.
