THE trial date for the man accused of murdering a care worker whose body was found in a locked suitcase has been announced.

IT specialist Clinton Bailey, 36, is alleged to have killed Leah Questin, 37, before disposing of her body in a pond in Cliffe.

The Filipino woman's badly decomposed body was discovered by a dog walker in September 24 2009 after being reported missing by friends a week earlier.

Bailey, of Malpas Road, Brockley, is due to appear at the Old Bailey on June 14.

The provisional date for trial was set last Friday. Bailey spoke only to confirm his name and was remanded in custody until February 18, where he is set to reappear for a mention.

He is accused of murder between September 12 and 24 and of preventing the lawful and decent burial of a corpse.
