Austin Thorne May received stolen goods worth thousands of pounds

A young man has been given a suspended prison sentence after receiving stolen goods worth thousands of pounds.

Austin Thorne Mays, 26, received items including a quad bike worth £2,500 in March last year.

Mays, of Orchard Road, Northfleet, admitted two counts of receiving stolen goods at Dartford and Gravesham Magistrates’ Court.

He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £400 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
