Swanley and Gravesend trains to Sittingbourne face delays and cancellations after signalling problems

Both problems have been fixed

Signalling problems ground trains to a halt today, causing disruption for Southeastern passengers in the north of the county.

Trains between Strood and Rochester were halted due to the fault on the railway network.

Network Rail has since repaired two separate problems on the rail.

Southeastern services through Swanley and Gravesend faced delays heading toward Sittingbourne due to the fault.

Other services between Longfield and Rochester were delayed whilst moving through the affected area.

The disruption is expected to last until 1.30pm.

Passengers are being advised to claim back compensation if they have experienced delays, via the delay repay scheme.
