Post office will move to new home in August

Swanley Post Office is to move to the town library in the summer.

The post office will move from its present home, which is also in London Road, over the first weekend in August, reopening at The Gateway in the library on Monday, August 3.

All the normal services will be available and the office will be open at the same times as the library: from 9am to 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday, from 9am to 6pm on Fridays and from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.

Post Office regional manager Julia Marwood said: “This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, and will secure services for the future.

“The investment marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
